MoveOn.org Condemned by Democratic Senate; Presidential Candidates Skip Vote

Democrats, Republicans, and Independents have been arguing, debating, and discussing the Iraq War since the invasion in 2003. However, MoveOn.org, who has always been on the fringe of almost every issue, took the debate to a new low. Many of you have more than likely read it, but here it is.

General Petraeus or General Betray Us?

It has long been known that MoveOn.org is a Democratic operation with the goal being to push the debate as far to the left as possible. However, it has become the norm for clear-thinking, moderate Democrats to be afraid of MoveOn.org. Why? Because MoveOn.org has money and influence in Democratic circles. To illustrate this point, let’s look at a recent Senate vote. The Democratic Senate, who are quick to take an opportunity to bash the President, voted convincingly to condemn MoveOn.org’s ad.

While Democrats around the nation condemned this attack in large numbers, the Democrats running for President cowered away. Senators Clinton and Dodd voted against the measure, while Senators Obama and Biden didn’t even show up. Most ironic, Obama was absent even though he was present no less than 20 minutes earlier.

What are Democrats doing? Catering to liberal interests groups and compromising their beliefs based on financial and political interests. If anyone has any doubts why Democrats are not ready to lead the White House, this is one example. They lack the courage to say “No!” to their high-powered interest groups.

I love how the NY Times gave MoveOn a special discounted rate to run their attack. One far left group to the next . . .
