There are five blogs I read everyday. Not Larry Sabato is one of them. The blog is worth a read because it’s frequently updated and it’s always good to keep a check on what liberals are up to. The lead blogger of NLS, Ben Tribbet, generally makes intelligent attacks on Republicans, but as Election Day nears I have seen some decidedly partisan attacks.

In fact, I would go so far to say Tribbet’s recent partisan attacks would put him in the category of a political hack who has been blowing things out of proportion in order to generate mainstream media attention for the news he is covering on his blog. He all but admitted this today.

NLS’ most recent attacks have been on Northern Virginia Republican senate candidates that included an assault on Sen. Devolites-Davis’ mailer that included her opponents home phone number and his children’s names, and a totally batty bombardment of Sen. O’Brien’s homosexual education mailer. NLS must be smelling blood because they have continued to pile it on Devolites-Davis’ campaign with allegations of misleading door hangers and illegally labeled commercials.

I’ll let you decide for yourself if the smear tactics of NLS are justified, but conservative bloggers across Virginia have pointed out that Chap’s information can be found in the phone book. Not many have bothered to respond about O’Brien’s mailer. Another blogger questions NLS’ level of discourse.
