Condemn NLS for Fashion 101
Over at the consummate rag of the Virginia blogopshere (Not Larry Sabato) there is a typical hit piece conservatives should expect from low brow, perverted, sleazeball liberal activists.
And that is a critique of College Republicans attire at the Advance. I am no fashion analyst, but the pretentious asses over at NLS believe they are. They quip that the CR ladies wore dresses, “straight off the clearance rack at K-Mart”.
Unless NLS was referring to a Hillary Clinton body double contest I am unsure of many people who buy their formal clothing off a clearance rack. When NLS’ numbers hit rock bottom as the election season ends, one can expect a full barrage of flat out moronic commentary. As a Sorensen grad I appreciate that most of my Democratic friends have class. Liberal blogs like Raising Kaine and others should roundly condemn this sort of outlandish buffoonery.

Yeah! Those rags were not that junk from K-Mart, those were clearly WalMart straight from Red China!
You guys clearly need to get a sense of humor.
I liked what Bay Buchanan wore, BTW.
I know Susan Allen would not wear a thong (too unsanitary) so it is particularly good satire to suggest such an idea. George looked good and I even saw Gilmore being nice to people and even trying to smile.
I think Gilmore will do pretty well against toothy-faced Warner if Gilmore can present a positive vision for Virginia’s future.

I stand by my post. These Republican women have class and their dignity does not need to be poked fun of by classless liberal bloggers

If by “rock bottom” you mean 500 times the daily readership of this blog then sure, rock bottom it is.
Honestly fellas (I assume you’re all male here), get the stick out of your ass and laugh once in awhile. Jokes not about Hillary Clinton can be funny too…

by labeling the NLS post as “buffoonery” one can assume we understand it was a joke. Nonetheless, it was a joke done in poor taste.
oh, and thanks for the hits coming over!

Jokes are one thing, insults are another, and lame fashion jokes are even worse. Seriously, if fashion jokes are the best you can do then it’s no wonder the Dems are still the party of no ideas.
What’s next, knock-knock jokes? Bathroom humor? I mean, if you want to be funny, all you need to do is post something about Dennis Kucinich. How about another spiritual encounter with aliens? Or why don’t you just outline the Department of Peace?
Or better yet, explain to us again how liberals plan to solve our supposed economic woes by taking money out of the system, shutting down our nice-cheap power plants, and then installing socialized medicine? Or are the aliens saving that part for their next visit?

Y’know, if I were you guys I’d be thrilled that the worst thing ONE OF YOUR OWN said about the event, or the state of the party in general was about clothing.
The sorry state of the Republican party in this once strong red state would have been a much more thoughtful column, and definitely a longer one. If I were you, I’d much rather talk about clothes than losing the Senate, continuing to fetter away seats in the House of Delegates and of course the painful statewide losses of heroes such as Jerry Kilgore and George Allen.
On top of all that, “highlights” of the events seem to center around Jim “The Man who Won’t Be Senator” Gilmore and George Allen, two lackluster (or disastrous) former statewide electeds posturing to make another run, which is another sad, sad testament to the “strength” of the Republican bench in Virginia.
Perhaps you guys are having trouble dressing yourselves in the mornings is due to the heavy quantities of alcohol that it must require just to dull the pain enough to get out of bed…

State of our party? Strength of the Republican bench? This is rich, coming from the party whose national frontrunner’s only policy so far is merely a rehash of her pathetic ideas of 12 years ago. The party whose candidates believe in aliens from space but not aliens from Mexico.
Please, let’s talk about failures. Like the failure of two successive Democrat governors to solve Virginia’s transportation problems. Or the failure of a certain Democrat Senatorial candidate to restrain his inherent desire to tax, as he had promised.
Or the failure of that same Democrat to accurately estimate the economic shortfall in Virginia, which led to a surplus of over $1 billion dollars in unneeded money.
Or the failure of that same Democrat to correct that error and return the money to the people.
Perhaps we should talk about the failures of the current schmuck who seems determined to install his state-run babysitting service when there are real problems that should be tackled instead. His failure to reform VDOT or address the illegal immigrant situation seem to be the most glaring.
Oh, and one last point. Being labeled by NLS as a Republican doesn’t make you one. Real Conservatives have enough pedigree not to take petty cheap shots at women and enough intelligence to offer better critiques than low-brow fashion reviews.
