CRs GOTV for Wittman
On Saturday College Republicans from VT, GMU, UMW, JMU and W&M took a break from studying for exams and traveled to Stafford County and Williamsburg to join last minute GOTV efforts for Delegate Rob Wittman’s congressional campaign.
The 1st District’s special election will be held on Tuesday, December 11th. The seat was suddenly vacated by the sad loss of Rep. Jo Ann Davis in October. The 1st is a heavily Republican area with large numbers of active and retired military. Most doors I knocked on this weekend were actually retired Marines.
Based on the demographics of the race (60% for Bush), the money advantage Wittman has (5 to 1), and the groundswell of local support Wittman has received, the CRFV is calling the race for Wittman. Virginia Virtucon agrees.

I think Wittman will win, but by very little.
Forgit has done a pretty good job positioning himself as a moderate. The republican party is not very popular right now and I think this will show in how close the results are.
Go Wittman!
