Del. Marshall Plans VA Senate Run
Republican Delegate Bob Marshall (R-Prince William-Loudoun, 13th) has announced the formation of a US Senate Exploratory Committee. He will be competing against the well funded and better known Jim Gilmore.
A press release from Del. Marshall outlined why he is opposing Gilmore. Highlights include being 100% pro-life, defending constitutional liberties in a time of crisis, and “recognizing the duties we have to neighbor and conserving the gift of God’s created world for out children”. Translate these three issues as you please.
The exploratory committee includes Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, Walter Curt (businessman), Patrick McSweeney (past Republican party chair), Tony Kostelecky (Manassas chair), Shaun Kenney (past RPV press director), Russ Moulton (past chair, 1st Congressional District), Kay Gunter (10th district state central committee), Mark Tate (past vice-mayor, Middleburg) Rick Boyer (Campbell County), Mike Meredith (Rockingham chair, past chair, 6th Congressional District).
The big names on this list are Cuccinelli, McSweeney, and Shaun Kenney. For negative reasons, Mark Tate. Wasn’t this guy in trouble for election fraud and perjury not so long ago?
Does Marshall have a shot?
Take my poll!
