Guess Who’s Back?
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, he’s back. Yes that’s right, as I’m sure everyone knows, our good friend the Rev. Jeremiah Wright is back and better than ever. Belting out such classics as ‘the government gave AIDS to blacks’ and ‘we deserved 9/11,’ Wright made the rounds on Sunday and Monday, […]

Does McCain Need Obama? - NC GOP Ad
McCain’s decision to ask the North Carolina Republican Party to stop airing an ad of Obama’s pastor (view here) has caused Michelle Malkin to dub McCain a snob and compare him to the mainstream media. Read More

8 Governors, Paul Harris, & Doug Wilder Oh My
The Sorensen Institute’s gala honoring Senator John Warner last night in Arlington was a star packed spectacle of Virginia politics. All of Virginia’s living governors attended: Kaine, Warner, Gilmore, Allen, Wilder, Baliles, Robb, and Holton. Other notables I saw included Chairman Hager, Rep. Wittman, Del. Moran, Sen. Deeds, and a host of candidates seeking office. Read More

Guantanamo Bay “protest”
On April 24th, Amnesty International Held a protest here on Mason’s campus, in which they covered the campus in orange paper. This trash was everywhere, hanging all over the trees. In the “free speech area” they blocked the road with even more garbage by building a cell. In actuality the cell they built was a […]

Economic Leninism
As someone with a very dark sense of humor, I regularly peruse The Daily Kos. However, this little gem filled me with a terror I hadn’t known since the first time an airline stewardess explained what I should do after our plane hit the ocean at 500 mph. Now, we all know that liberals, as a […]

Capitalism Makes Earth Week Possible
Public Choice Capitalist has a good post up about how economic freedom, mainly capitalism, has essentially tamed the environment so that we can now enjoy it.
Capitalism is also responsible for giving people the wealth and leisure to permit them to mis-perceive nature as loving and bountiful, and to enjoy nature in a way that few […]

Rolling Stone & Cornerstone
Rolling Stone Magazine political writer Matt Taibbi recently published this account of his undercover assignment in John Hagee’s Cornerstone Church in Texas. Taibbi, former sports editor of The Moscow Times, brings his usual Murrow-with-tourettes style to this expose from the “evangelical front lines.” Entitled Jesus Made Me Puke the story recounts Taibbi’s trip to an “Encounter Weekend.” By recounts I […]

Vice President Cantor?
Here’s a lovely little rumor I found floating around NRO. Seems someone in Richmond thinks Eric Cantor would make a fine VP choice for McCain. Of course, it’s only speculation, but someone like Cantor would be an interesting choice, especially since Obambi is probably going to pick a white guy, if only to shore up those bitter, angry white people who vote for Hillary.
