The University: A Safe Haven for Liberals

Hello Virginia CRs!

Its that time of year again, when colleges and universities have “one last stand” to finish brainwashing young adults into good little liberals like they are supposed to be.

Below is a small list of the liberals that got to partake in the brainwashing:

Bill Clinton - UCLA

Al Gore - Carnegie Melon University

Chris Matthews - Washington University-Saint Louis

Oprah Winfrey - Standford University

James Carville - Tulane

Robert Kennedy Jr. - UC-San Diego

The following conservative speakers were not guest speakers anywhere this year:Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, Newt Gringrich, and Matt Drudge.

However, several conservatives did make the cut, yet they received the highest disrespect.Professors at the University of Georgia tried to cancel and invitation to Justice Clarence Thomas, Furman University was in an uproar due to the appearance of President George W. Bush, and students and teachers actually turned their backs (some even walked out) to Phyllis Schlafly at Washington University in St. Louis.

How hypocritical. The left calls us ignorant, yet they refuse to listen to differing ideas. The founding fathers would be ashamed.

“The left calls us ignorant, yet they refuse to listen to differing ideas.”

This sounds a lot like what the Republican party does to true Conservatives who don’t go along with their big-government agenda, doesn’t it.

When I saw this entry, I was thinking… You guys haven’t adjourned for the summer yet? And then I saw what you were referring to - Yes, YAF does their annual list, pointing out how liberals dominate Commencement speeches.

I don’t even remember who my commencement speaker was… (Do you?)

[Maybe if it had been a big-name person - a conservative or liberal - I would have remembered. For my brother’s graduation ceremony, they had Steve Jobs speak. It was at a different university.]

I was just reminded, from a blog that I found, via this one, that your big primary is today. I know that many of the LI and young conservative people were backing Amit Singh… I have not looked up the results yet; wonder how that race went.

My CR Chapter (here in the Illinois capital) was involved with the November 2005 Virginia gubernatorial election, helping Jerry Kilgore. I wish we had won that race too.

Despite how bad Kaine might be, I doubt him (and your Democrats overall) have anything on the Dems here in the Prairie State!!
