To Those Who Jumped Ship

To the Douglas Kmiecs, Peggy Noonans, and Christopher Buckleys of the world, and other Conservatives large and small who have embraced Obama or refused to embrace McCain, I would like to say thank you.  I would like to say thank you for this liberal moment in America.

Opportunity in Dem Takeover

The domination of both houses of Congress by the Democratic party presents conservatives and Republicans with a unique strategic opportunity, if they can stop their bickering and take advantage of it.

McCain supporters may say crazy things, but at least we don’t assault people.

A man in NYC is being charged with brutality attacking someone holding a McCain sign. NYC’s district attorney had this to say,   Read More

Good Morning, Socialism

Today, America embraced socialism.  Sort of, and only temporarily, or so they say.  Taking a page directly from Mussolini’s playbook, George Bush and Henry Paulson forced nine of the country’s largest private banks to accept a partial nationalization last night and will move to nationalize many smaller banks later in the week.

Market Alternative: Can Hensarling Save Us From Socialism?

Rep. Jeb Hensarling has proposed a new free-market based plan.  This story, reported by my CNSNews.com colleague Josiah Ryan this morning, is welcome news to those of us who feel that socialist command economics are are not the answer.  The plan would, in short, allow floundering financial institutions to purchase insurance on their troubled mortgage-backed […]

Barack Obama visits Mary Washington

For anyone who hasn’t heard, there was a rally for Barack Obama at the University of Mary Washington on Saturday. I wasn’t close enough to hear the speech so I can’t comment on how the rally went, but Mr. Obama certainly got to see the UMW CRs on his way to campus. Read More

I’ve taken on tougher guys than this!

John McCain seems to be winning the ad wars lately.

The Time Is Now

24,000.  That’s the number of people officially in attendance at today’s McCain-Palin rally at Van Dyck Park in Fairfax.  Some media estimates went as high as 30,000 all told, which would triple the number of people Barack Obama managed to “inspire” after nearly a week of advertising.

The Game Has Changed: Why Experience No Longer Matters

Let’s just admit it, Sarah Palin doesn’t have much experience in government, at any level.  Trying to argue that her scant experience is more substantive than Barack Obama’s is a non-starter and a loser of an argument for the GOP.  Why?  Because with a brilliant speech last night, Sarah Palin changed this election.

Pick Romney

Now that The One has announced that he will announce his VP choice this weekend, I felt it was time to offer my two cents on who McCain’s choice should be.  Mitt Romney should get the nod.  I know, I bashed Romney pretty hard during the primaries, calling him a fraud and a charlatan.  I […]
